Before Chevys Training Plan, running a marathon never felt like a real option for me - I've never been great at long distance running. Chevy's training plan and weekly coaching allowed me to build the strength and endurance I needed to run an injury-free, comfortable marathon, all without the huge distances usually expected for marathon training. The effect it had on my overall ability was transformational

Chevy and I worked together closely when I was taking part in the BBC One documentary series ‘Mind Over Marathon.' Through coaching I began to think of movement as something more personal that is interwoven with my mental health and well-being. He was ahead of the curve on these methods as the mental health conversation still hadn’t been brought into the mainstream by this point, so it felt like he offered a unique perspective on the marathon journey.

My first marathon at the age of 53 and I did it. I always said I didn’t actually want to run a marathon as I thought it would be too much of a commitment and I would fail. Don’t get me wrong, adopting the ‘Mind Over Marathon’ training plan wasn’t a breeze - any marathon training involves hard work and consistency - but this plan made it easier than I’d anticipated in terms of its adaptability to fit it around all my other life stuff.
