// What's Actually Stopping You

You've already done the reading. You haven't had it diagnosed.

01

You know the theory. You don't know if you're applying it.

You've read about Zone 2. You've watched videos on nasal breathing. You've heard about cadence. But nobody has actually watched you run, breathed with you, or checked your form. You're applying generic advice to a specific body. That's why it isn't landing.

02

You've plateaued and you don't know why.

Your times have stopped moving. Your training looks the same as it did when you were improving. You assume it's age, work, or volume. It's almost never any of those. It's usually one specific thing that nobody has named for you yet.

03

You keep getting injured in the same way.

Same niggle. Same comeback. Same setback. The cycle doesn't break with more rest or more stretching. It breaks when someone tells you what's actually causing it and gives you something specific to do about it.

04

You've got a specific event and a generic plan.

A marathon, an ultra, a Hyrox. The plan you're following knows about the distance. It doesn't know about your form, your fuelling, your breathing under pressure, or your work week. That gap is where races fall apart.

Different problems. Same root cause. You've never had anyone look at you, specifically.

Recognise yourself in any of these? Book the Masterclass that fixes it.

// What You Get

What a Masterclass Is.

90 minutes, 1:1, in person. You arrive with a specific problem. You leave with a framework you can use on your next run. Then you keep going. The 30-day action plan tells you what to work on between now and a month from now. The 30 days of WhatsApp access means you can ask, send a video, or flag something that isn't working, and get a direct answer from me.

A Masterclass isn't a single session. It's a 30-day intervention with a 90-minute starting point.

90 minutes, 1:1

One coach, one runner, one problem. No groups, no general advice.

// Pick Your Masterclass

Eight Topics. Pick the One That's Costing You the Most.

// Masterclass 01 / Breathing

Breathe Better. Run Better.

You get a side stitch at mile two that you've just accepted as part of running. You hit a pace ceiling you can't break through. Your recovery takes longer than it should. You've heard about nasal breathing. You've read about Zone 2. Nobody has watched you breathe. Research shows 91% of competitive athletes display dysfunctional breathing patterns. The problem is near-universal. You just didn't know that yet.

What we cover

  • Control under effort. How to keep your breathing rhythmic and effective as the pace climbs. The gear shifts that stop you blowing up at mile two.
  • Nasal breathing drills. When to nasal breathe and when to switch. How to extend the pace you can hold nasally so you stay calmer for longer.
  • CO2 tolerance work. The physiological piece most runners skip. How CO2 tolerance limits your pace ceiling and how to train it.
  • Race-day breathing strategy. A specific protocol for managing breathing under adrenaline. Start line through finish line.

This is for you if you've never had someone watch you breathe under load, or if you've hit a pace or recovery ceiling you can't break through.

// Masterclass 02 / Hybrid Athlete

The Stations Aren't What's Costing You.

You can hit the sled. You can throw wall balls all day. The lunges, the burpee broad jumps, the rower, all fine. Then the 1k run between stations and your heart rate is in zone five before you've hit 400 metres. Your form falls apart. You're running tense, breathing chaotic, losing time you should never have lost. By the time you get to the next station, you've already burned through the energy you needed to do it well. The strength isn't the problem. The running under fatigue is.

What we cover

  • Pacing across stations and runs. How to read your effort, hold a sustainable pace, and avoid the early surge that wrecks the back half. Specific protocols for Hyrox event order, CrossFit chipper workouts, and team race formats.
  • Station-to-run transitions. Resetting your heart rate, breathing, and form in the 10 seconds it takes to leave a station and start the next run. The single biggest time gain most hybrid athletes are leaving on the table.
  • Integrating running and strength work. How to programme aerobic work alongside heavy lifting without compromising either. When to run hard, when to run easy, and when to leave the running alone.
  • Running under fatigue. Specific work that builds the ability to hold form, pace, and breathing when your legs are already smashed. The exact gap between gym fitness and race fitness for hybrid events.

This is for you if you're a strong athlete whose running is the bottleneck. Hyrox, CrossFit, and hybrid race competitors who can lift the weights, hit the stations, and then watch their time bleed out on the runs between them.

// Masterclass 03 / Zone 2 Training

Calibrate Your Zones. Stop Guessing.

You've heard about Zone 2. You've read the research. You've watched the YouTube videos. But you're still not sure if you're actually training in it, or just running slow and hoping. The watch tells you a number. The number is based on a generic formula. Your zones don't live in a formula. They live in your physiology, your breathing, and your current state.

What we cover

  • What Zone 2 actually is. Beyond heart rate. The physiological markers that tell you you're in it.
  • Heart rate targets that match your body. Calibrating your zones against your breathing, perceived effort, and current life load. Not a generic 180-minus-age formula.
  • Session structure. How long, how often, and what a good Zone 2 session looks like start to finish.
  • How to know it's working. The markers to track over weeks and months so you know your aerobic engine is actually building.

This is for you if you're running slow and not getting any of the benefit, or if you suspect your zones aren't where your watch says they are.

// Masterclass 04 / Running Technique 101

Nobody's Watched You Run.

Your watch tracks pace, distance, cadence, and heart rate. It does not tell you how you move. Nobody has watched you run and given you honest feedback in years. Maybe ever. Your form is the single biggest determinant of injury risk and running economy. Most runners are running with technique faults they don't know they have.

What we cover

  • Cadence and foot strike. What yours is, what it should be, and how to change it without breaking yourself.
  • Posture under fatigue. Where your form falls apart when you're tired. How to hold it together.
  • Arm carriage. What your arms are telling you. How they affect your stride, breathing, and pace.
  • The two or three things that matter most for you. Filmed and reviewed in the room. Not a generic technique lecture. The specific corrections that will make the biggest difference.

This is for you if you've never had your form looked at, or if you suspect you're working harder than you should be for the pace you're running.

// Masterclass 05 / Marathon Training

Build a Block That Knows Your Life.

You've got a marathon on the calendar. You've downloaded a plan. The plan tells you to run 10k on Thursday. It does not know you slept four hours, that you've been in back-to-back meetings, or that you haven't eaten properly all day. Generic marathon plans break the moment your life gets in the way. Most runners blame themselves when the plan breaks. The plan was never built for them.

What we cover

  • Periodisation that gets you to the start line ready. Base, build, peak, taper structured around your work week.
  • The non-negotiables. What stays in the plan when life gets loud. What flexes. Why the long run is protected.
  • Fuelling, hydration, recovery. What to eat, when, and why. What to test in training so race day isn't the experiment.
  • The strategy for the finish line. What it takes to come through the back half strong instead of surviving it.

This is for you if you've got a marathon coming up and your training plan doesn't know about your job, your sleep, or your stress load.

// Masterclass 06 / S&C Fundamentals

Lift for Running. Not in Spite of It.

Runners who lift get injured less and run faster. You've heard this. But most gym programmes aren't built for runners. They're built for people who lift. There's a difference. Lifting heavy without thinking about what it does to your running is how runners get injured in the gym. Most people are doing the wrong work, in the wrong order, for the wrong reasons.

What we cover

  • The key movements that transfer. Hip hinges, single-leg work, posterior chain. Why these and not others.
  • Programming basics for runners. How heavy, how often, and how to fit gym work alongside running without one cancelling the other.
  • Mobility routines that earn their place. The two or three positions you need to own. Not generic foam rolling.
  • The gym work runners skip. What most runners avoid because it feels uncomfortable. Why that's the work that matters.

This is for you if you know you should lift but aren't sure what to do, or if your gym work isn't translating to better running.

// Masterclass 07 / Get Faster Safely

Speed You Can Actually Keep.

You want to get quicker. Every time you push, something breaks down. A niggle. A cold. A bad week that takes two weeks to come back from. Speed work without the structure to support it is a recipe for injury. Most runners try to add speed to a base that can't hold it. The body responds by breaking the bit that wasn't ready.

What we cover

  • Interval design. How to structure speed work that builds rather than breaks. Reps, rest, pace targets that fit your body.
  • Progression rules. How quickly to add load, when to hold steady, when to back off. The arithmetic of getting faster without snapping.
  • When to push and when to back off. The signals from your body, your sleep, and your week that tell you which kind of session today should be.
  • The minimum effective dose. Most runners do too much. The right amount is smaller than you think.

This is for you if you want to get faster but every time you push the pace, you get injured.

// Masterclass 08 / Race Day Strategy

The Playbook Mile 18 Needs.

You've got a pace plan. You've got training in the legs. You've got a race in the calendar. You don't have a breathing plan, a fuelling plan, a pacing-by-feel plan, or a plan for when adrenaline hits at the start line. That's where races fall apart. Not in training. On the day.

What we cover

  • Pacing. Why your first mile is always too fast. How to find your real race pace in the first 10 minutes.
  • Nutrition and kit. What to eat the night before, what to eat on the day, what to wear. Tested in training, executed on race day.
  • Warm-up and mental prep. What to do in the 60 minutes before the gun. How to manage adrenaline so it serves you rather than wrecks you.
  • The mile 18 plan. What to do when it gets hard. Not motivation. A specific protocol.

This is for you if you've got a race coming up and your plan stops at the finish line of your training, not the start line of the event.

// What Clients Say

Eugene

Eugene

Breathing & Technique

"I've been running for over 20 years but I'd hit a plateau with pace and endurance. Chevy analysed my technique and breathing patterns and gave me clear, practical changes. A few days later I applied them and the results were genuinely impressive. Long-distance running became more enjoyable than ever. If running is a true passion and an important part of your life, he's the person to see."
